Job summary

Modern Quests, a premium home decor retailer, seeks a QC and inspection executive to support the domestic sourcing team in completing inspections and quality checks for factory orders and incoming shipments.

The role involves coordinating with manufacturers, visiting supplier factories to conduct inspections, preparing QC reports, and training warehouse teams to uphold testing standards across hard and soft goods in the home category. Travel to nearby cities will be required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in inspections, QA and QC of hard goods or soft goods in home category

Responsibilities

• Develop relations with manufacturers and coordinate with them to schedule inspections
• Visit supplier factories to complete inspections and provide feedback to suppliers accordingly
• Prepare QC report to identify issues and also follow up with supplier as required
• Check all inbound material once the shipment reaches the warehouse to ensure all quality checks are followed correctly
• Train warehouse team in checking new items and prepare SOP to ensure proper testing and QC checks

Modern Quests is a premium retailer that sells home decor, kitchenware, tableware, bathware and lifestyle products. We sell more than 5,000 products via a mix of our private label and international / domestic brands. We are looking for a QC and inspection executive who would work with the domestic sourcing team for completing inspections and quality checks for all factory orders and incoming shipments.

Main Responsibilities Include:

• Develop relations with manufacturers and coordinate with them to schedule inspections
• Visit supplier factories to complete inspections and all quality checks and provide feedback to suppliers accordingly
• Prepare QC report to identify issues and also follow up with supplier as required
• Check all inbound material once the shipment reaches the warehouse to ensure all quality checks are followed correctly
• Train warehouse team in checking new items and prepare SOP to ensure proper testing and QC checks

Required Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience in inspections, QA and QC of hard goods or soft goods in home category
• Must be able to regularly travel to nearby cities such as Moradabad, Panipat, Agra, etc to conduct inspections
• Should have good communication skills to interact with suppliers and team members
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets to prepare reports
