Job summary

Prestige Global Gurugram is seeking an experienced Quality Control Executive to manage product quality for export orders across Handicrafts, Hardgoods and Textiles. You will conduct factory/vendor inspections, identify defects, perform AQL-based checks, and ensure compliance with approved samples and buyer specifications.

The role requires regular travel to supplier locations, a strong eye for workmanship, and the ability to prepare detailed inspection reports with photographs.

Qualifications

  • 3-7 years of relevant experience in Quality Control / Product Inspection.
  • Experience in Handicrafts, Hardgoods, Home décor, Home furnishings or Textiles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with factory/vendor inspections and export quality requirements.
  • Good knowledge of AQL, sampling procedures and defect classification.
  • Ability to prepare inspection reports with photographs and observations.
  • Willingness to travel for supplier/factory inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality inspections at supplier/factory locations for Handicrafts, Hardgoods and Textiles.
  • Carry out Pre-Production, During Production and Pre‑Shipment Inspections as required.
  • Inspect products against approved samples, buyer specifications, technical specifications, drawings and quality standards.
  • Conduct AQL-based inspections and identify Critical, Major and Minor defects.
  • Check product quality, workmanship, dimensions, construction, material, colour, finish, functionality and overall appearance.
  • For textiles, check fabric quality, GSM, colour/shade, stitching, measurements, construction, finishing, workmanship and packing.
  • For handicrafts and hardgoods, inspect material, workmanship, finish, dimensions, construction, functionality, colour, surface quality and packaging.
  • Ensure products are consistent with approved Golden Samples / Sealed Samples / Reference Samples.
  • Identify quality deviations and communicate findings clearly to suppliers and internal teams.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports including photographs, defect details and recommendations.
  • Follow up with suppliers on quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented before shipment.
  • Monitor recurring defects and work with suppliers to prevent repetition.
  • Coordinate with Merchandising, Sourcing, Production and Product Development teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Coordinate with third‑party inspection agencies where required by overseas buyers.
  • Verify packing, labeling and carton markings and other shipment‑related quality requirements.
  • Maintain inspection records and supplier quality performance reports.
  • Travel to supplier/factory locations as required.

We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Executive to manage product quality for our export orders across Handicrafts, Hardgoods and Textiles.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products manufactured by suppliers meet approved samples, buyer specifications, quality standards, workmanship requirements, packaging standards, and shipment requirements.

This is a hands‑on role involving factory/vendor visits, product inspections, defect identification, AQL inspections, pre‑production and pre‑shipment inspections, quality reporting, and supplier follow‑up.

The candidate should be comfortable with regular travel to supplier/factory locations and should have a strong eye for detail, particularly in identifying workmanship and quality issues before products are shipped to overseas buyers.

Candidate profile
  • 3-7 years of relevant experience in Quality Control / Product Inspection, preferably in an export‑oriented company.
  • Experience in one or more of Handicrafts, Hardgoods, Home Dcor, Home Furnishings or Textiles.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with factory/vendor inspections and export quality requirements.
  • Good knowledge of AQL, sampling procedures and defect classification.
  • Ability to inspect products against buyer specifications and approved samples.
  • Good understanding of workmanship and quality standards across different product categories.
  • Experience working with suppliers and factories and following up on corrective actions.
  • Ability to prepare clear inspection reports with photographs and observations.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Willingness to travel for supplier/factory inspections.
