QC Manager, Hardlines and Home Textiles (India), North
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Sourcing, Merchandising and suppliers to embed quality checkpoints early to ensure quality throughout the process.
- Lead supplier quality and compliance assessment and guide the supplier on best practices.
- Interpret in‑process and analytical data to make quality evaluations, recommend actions for improvements, and assure resolution.
- Present on‑site to supervise supplier QC personnel or perform QC actions for troubleshooting or continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues promptly.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve quality‑related issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Respond to customer complaints related to product quality and address issues with suppliers, suggesting remedies.
- Proactively respond to all quality and returns communications and closely monitor quality to reduce return percentage.
- Utilize basic data‑analysis tools such as SPC and Pareto charts to review data and drive process and continuous improvement.
- Support the implementation of the Quality Management System with HQ Quality Assurance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or a relevant field.
- 8+ years of proven experience in quality control, ideally in furniture or home goods industries.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or field quality is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively across different partners.
- Ability to travel >50% of the time.
- Demonstrated auditing and corrective action proficiency.
- Demonstrated record of assessing and determining the impact of regulatory compliance issues.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis as applied in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
Preferred
- Soft Home + Hard Homes industry‑specific experience or tools.
- Direct‑to‑consumer, retail, or e‑commerce background.
