Job summary

POWER BRIDGE SYSTEMS PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking an Infrastructure & Data Center Engineer to manage and support enterprise IT infrastructure, including data centre operations, virtualization, networking, and security in a retail context.

The role requires hands-on experience with VMware, network devices, firewalls, and DR preparedness, plus strong troubleshooting and documentation skills to maintain high availability and performance.

Qualifications

• Manage and maintain Data Center infrastructure with high availability.
• Administer VMware virtualization environments and VM provisioning.
• Configure and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure (Layer 2/3).
• Administer enterprise firewalls, security policies, VPNs, NAT, ACLs, access controls.
• Monitor infrastructure health and perform RCA for incidents.
• Provide L2/L3 technical support and DR readiness.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Data Center infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
• Administer VMware virtualization environments, including provisioning and monitoring of VMs.
• Configure and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure (L2/L3 switches & routers).

• Participate in disaster recovery drills and ensure business continuity.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Infrastructure & Data Center Engineer with retail industry experience to manage and support enterprise IT infrastructure, including data centre operations, virtualization, networking, firewalls, and server infrastructure. The ideal candidate should possess strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience in maintaining high availability, security, and performance of mission-critical IT systems.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Data Center infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
  
• Administer VMware virtualization environments, including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of virtual machines.
  
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, including Layer 2/Layer 3 switches and routers.
  
• Administer and support enterprise firewalls, implementing security policies, VPNs, NAT, ACLs, and access controls.
  
• Monitor infrastructure health using enterprise monitoring tools and proactively resolve performance issues.
  
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for infrastructure incidents and implement preventive measures.
  
• Support server hardware, storage, and backup infrastructure.
  
• Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, and patch management of infrastructure components.
  
• Coordinate with OEMs and third-party vendors for hardware replacement and issue resolution.
  
• Ensure adherence to IT security standards, change management, and operational procedures.
  
• Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, asset inventory, and SOPs.
  
• Participate in disaster recovery (DR) drills, backup validation, and business continuity activities.
  
• Provide L2/L3 technical support for infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.
  
• Participate in planned maintenance activities and after-hours support when required.
