Job summary

Dun & Bradstreet Technologies & Data Services in Chennai seeks an IT Manager Infrastructure, Networking & Security to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of the company’s IT backbone.

You will oversee Windows and Linux environments, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), firewalls, IDS/IPS, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), while ensuring ISO 27001/ITIL compliance and robust data-centre security. Excellence in communication and stakeholder management is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science.
• Certifications in ITIL and ISO standards are preferred.
• Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, VMware, Fortinet) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, network systems, and security architecture.
• Design, implement, and improve secure and scalable network solutions.
• Administer and optimize virtual environments, including VMware/Hyper-V.
• Configure and monitor firewalls, IDS/IPS, load balancers, and security appliances.
• Ensure system security, implement policies, and respond to threats and vulnerabilities.
• Support ISO standards compliance and information security governance.
• Participate in security audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives.
• Oversee user management, access control, and IT service support.
• Provide executive reports on infrastructure health, performance, and security.
• Recommend infrastructure modernization initiatives.

Job Title: IT Manager Infrastructure, Networking & Security

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, VMware, Fortinet) preferred
• Certifications in ITIL, Information Security and ISO standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, CISSP, CISM,CEH) are preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and security administration
• Proven experience managing Windows Server and Linux (Red Hat or equivalent) environments
• Strong experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper‑V
• Hands‑on expertise in firewall, IDS/IPS, and network security management
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) is mandatory
• Familiarity with Fortinet, Cisco ASA, and A10 Networks appliances is an added advantage
• Exposure to ITIL Framework, ISO standards and Information Security frameworks is preferred

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of network architecture, system administration, and IT security best practices
• Ability to design, implement, and manage secure network infrastructures, including VLANs and segmentation
• Expertise in data centre security, including inbound/outbound traffic control and firewall policies
• Proficiency in load balancing and network performance optimization
• Understanding of Information Security principles, risk management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001)
• Experience in IT governance frameworks and security compliance standards
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to infrastructure and security management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ensure system security, implement policies, and respond proactively to threats and vulnerabilities
• Support and align infrastructure with Information Security policies and ISO standards compliance requirements
• Participate in or support security audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives
• Oversee user management, access control, and IT service support, ensuring a high-quality user experience
• Provide regular executive reports on infrastructure health, performance, and security posture
• Recommend and implement infrastructure improvements and modernization initiatives
