Job summary

Hyosung T&D India Private Limited in Pune is seeking an Industrial Engineer with 5-10 years of hands-on experience to lead design and process improvements on the manufacturing floor.

The role focuses on fixtures, tooling, shop-floor efficiency, and Lean practices, with responsibilities spanning process documentation, training, and SAP-based procurement. A strong background in AutoCAD/SolidWorks is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Industrial Engineering within manufacturing.
• Experience in tooling design, industrial maintenance, and shop-floor support.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement fixtures, trolleys, ladders, and equipment for new and existing products to reduce cycle time and improve productivity.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and document Lean manufacturing best practices.
• Re-engineer factory layouts and process flows to optimize efficiency while ensuring safety.
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to improve throughput.
• Conduct time and video studies to analyze assembly processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct periodic shop-floor audits of tools and test adaptors to avoid loss and production disruptions.
• Forecast, plan, and manage procurement of tools, equipment, machines, ladders, and trolleys per project timelines.
• Inspect tools and fixtures at supplier sites to ensure specification compliance.
• Oversee calibration and maintenance of tools, gauges, and fixtures.
• Raise SAP Purchase Requisitions for tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Coordinate repair and maintenance of tools and fixtures.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Process Improvement

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Industrial Engineering within a product-based or manufacturing industry.

Technical Skills

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Experience in tooling design, industrial maintenance, and shop-floor support.
