Job summary

Vertiv Energy in India seeks an experienced Manufacturing Strategy & Industrialization leader to drive industrialization across Infrastructure Solutions and Switchgear operations. You will develop roadmaps for capacity expansion, localization, and operational excellence, while guiding greenfield plant setups and new product introductions.

You will define best-in-class processes, standardize methods, advance automation, and manage capital projects to improve productivity across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience driving manufacturing industrialization strategies across complex electrical infrastructure products.
• Ability to develop roadmaps aligning capacity expansion and localization with business growth.
• Experience with plant readiness, new product introduction, and manufacturing standardization.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing industrialization strategy for Infrastructure Solutions and Switchgear operations in India.
• Develop manufacturing roadmaps aligned with growth, capacity expansion, localization, and operational excellence.
• Support greenfield plant setup activities including strategy, facility planning, equipment selection, process design, and readiness.
• Define and deploy best-in-class manufacturing processes across fabrication, busbar, switchgear assembly, electrical assembly, testing, and integration.
• Standardize methods, labor standards, material flow, workstation design, and productivity models.
• Drive process optimization, capacity improvement, and manufacturing efficiency initiatives across sites.
• Lead equipment strategy, automation initiatives, and capital investment projects.
• Manage equipment specification, supplier selection, factory acceptance testing, commissioning, and ramp-up.
• Develop business cases for automation, productivity improvements, and manufacturing technology investments.
• Develop executable capacity and resource models to support growth and demand.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to identify and mitigate constraints and risks.
• Support make-versus-buy decisions, plant layout optimization, and footprint expansion initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering to ensure manufacturability is embedded early in product development.
• Drive Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly, modularization, and standardization.
• Lead readiness activities for new product introductions and technology deployments.

Capacity Planning & Plant Readiness

• Develop executable capacity and resource models to support business growth and customer demand.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to identify and mitigate manufacturing constraints and capacity risks.
• Support make-versus-buy decisions, plant layout optimization, and footprint expansion initiatives.

New Product Introduction & Technology Deployment

• Partner with Engineering to ensure manufacturability is embedded early in product development.
• Drive Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly principles, modularization, and manufacturing standardization.
