Job summary

ProcDNA is seeking a seasoned Power BI and Tableau expert to transform complex data into meaningful insights through dashboards and reports. You will lead projects, mentor teammates, and collaborate with stakeholders in a fast-paced global consulting environment.

The role requires 8–12 years of hands-on BI experience, deep data modeling, and strong SQL skills, with a pharma/life sciences domain background beneficial. This is a full-time position based in India.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise across both platforms, a deep understanding of data modelling and visualization best practices, and the ability to lead projects, engage with stakeholders, and mentor team members. What you’ll do:

• Lead the design, development, enhancement, and migration of enterprise-grade dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau.

• Develop robust, reusable, and scalable processes for data querying, transformation, modelling, and visualization.

• Integrate multiple data sources to create cohesive visualizations and deliver actionable business insights.

• Collaborate with clients and business stakeholders to understand complex business challenges and translate them into effective BI solutions.

• Partner with Data Platform teams to understand data architecture, data flows, and integration requirements across enterprise analytics platforms.

• Drive data governance, quality, security, and performance optimization across BI solutions.

• Design advanced and interactive visualizations, leveraging the full capabilities of Power BI and Tableau to deliver an exceptional user experience.

• Manage Power BI Service and Tableau Server environments, including administration, access controls, permissions, deployment, upgrades, and migration.

• Lead project planning, estimation, prioritization, and delivery while managing multiple projects and stakeholder expectations.

• Establish BI development standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices to ensure consistency, scalability, and maintainability.

• Mentor and develop team members, conduct technical reviews, and promote knowledge sharing across the team.

• Work closely with business leads to identify trends, generate insights, and provide data-driven recommendations.

• Identify opportunities to improve existing reporting processes, automate workflows, and enhance the overall analytics ecosystem.

Must have:

• 8–12 years of experience in Business Intelligence, data analytics, and visualization, with strong hands-on expertise in both Power BI and Tableau.

• Proven experience in developing, enhancing, optimizing, and migrating BI dashboards and reporting solutions across Power BI and Tableau.

• Deep understanding of Power BI capabilities, DAX, Power Query, data modelling, semantic models, and performance optimization.

• Strong hands-on experience with Tableau, including advanced calculations, LOD expressions, parameters, actions, dashboard optimization, and visualization techniques.

• Expertise in SQL, data querying, data transformation, data modelling, and integrating data from multiple sources.

• Experience in designing complex dashboards, advanced charts, interactive reports, and executive-level visualizations using both BI platforms.

• Strong understanding of Power BI Service administration, workspaces, deployment pipelines, access management, gateways, and cloud-based reporting environments.

• Experience in Tableau Server administration, including installation, configuration, user and group management, projects, workbooks, permissions, upgrades, and migration.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize report performance, and resolve data quality and integration challenges.

• Experience leading BI projects end to end, including requirement gathering, solution design, estimation, planning, delivery, and stakeholder communication.

• Proven ability to mentor team members, conduct code and dashboard reviews, and establish development standards and best practices.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Excellent communication, presentation, client management, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience working in a consulting environment and managing multiple projects or client engagements simultaneously.

• Domain knowledge of the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry.
