Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking an Air Operations Apprentice to support day-to-day air freight operations under supervision. The role focuses on timely execution, accurate documentation, and reliable service.

You will assist with SOPs, document processing, bookings, and data entry, while coordinating with shippers, airlines, CHAs, and internal teams to ensure smooth cargo movement.

Qualifications

• General Graduate or Diploma holder in Logistics Management is preferable
• Good command of written and spoken English, local language

Responsibilities

• Assist in following SOPs for air operations.
• Verify and process air shipment documents from shippers, airlines, CHAs, and service providers.
• Coordinate with shippers, consignees, airlines, CHAs, transporters, overseas offices and internal teams.
• Assist with airline bookings, space confirmations, and carting instructions.
• Support data updates in E-Trans/Galaxy (HAWB details, flight schedules, milestones, document uploads).
• Prepare and submit MAWB/HAWB, pre-alerts, and regulatory documents.
• Assist cargo acceptance, screening, gate-in, and handover with airlines and ground handlers.
• Coordinate with vendors and share cost details with FINOPS.
• Track shipments, communicate with customers, and prepare DSRs and resolve queries.
• Assist AR follow-ups as required.
• Support completion of CSM checklists, KRAs, and departmental reports.
• Perform basic data entry and reporting activities.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in following standard operating procedures (SOPs) for air operations.
• Support verification and processing of air shipment documents from shippers, airlines, CHAs, and service providers.
• Coordinate with shippers, consignees, airlines, CHAs, transporters, overseas offices, and internal teams for smooth cargo movement.
• Assist with airline bookings, space confirmations, and carting instructions under guidance.
• Support job creation and data updates in E-Trans/Galaxy (HAWB details, flight schedules, milestones, document uploads).
• Assist in preparation and submission of MAWB/HAWB, pre-alerts, and required regulatory documents.
• Support follow-ups for cargo acceptance, screening, gate-in, and handover with airlines and ground handlers.
• Assist in vendor coordination and sharing cost details with FINOPS for processing.
• Support shipment tracking, customer communication, DSR preparation, and query resolution.
• Assist with AR follow-ups as required.
• Support completion of CSM checklists, KRAs, and departmental reports.
• Perform basic data entry and reporting activities as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE

Academic:

• General Graduate or Diploma holder in Logistics Management is preferable

Experience & knowledge:

• Good command of written and spoken English, local language
