Job summary

PwC is seeking a seasoned Performance Testing professional to join our software quality engineering team in India. The role focuses on implementing leading practice standards, resolving defects, and optimizing performance for scalable software products across client engagements.

You will evaluate tools, monitor performance metrics, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust test strategies. Strong communication and cloud/container experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in performance testing and engineering.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and various testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Proficiency with at least one major performance testing tool (e.g., Apache JMeter, Micro Focus LoadRunner, Gatling, k6, Locust, NeoLoad).
• Solid understanding of system architecture, network protocols (HTTP/S), databases (SQL/NoSQL), and operating systems (Linux, Windows).
• Experience with performance monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics).
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex performance data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams and present technical information clearly.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) is a plus.
