Qualifications

• End-to-end import management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import operations, PO execution, shipment planning, customs clearance and delivery.
• Coordinate with international suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines and clearing agents.
• Review and maintain import documentation: invoices, packing lists, BLs, origin certificates, insurance.
• Ensure compliance with customs, DGFT, FEMA and related regulations.
• Monitor shipments to minimize delays and demurrage costs; optimize landed costs.
• Build strong relationships with overseas suppliers and resolve shipment issues.

Designation: Import Manager

Role Overview

The Import Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end import operations, ensuring timely procurement of imported materials, regulatory compliance, cost optimization, and seamless coordination with suppliers

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import operations, including purchase order execution, shipment planning, customs clearance, and final delivery of imported materials to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
• Coordinate with international suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, clearing agents, and transporters to ensure timely dispatch, tracking, and receipt of shipments
• Review, verify, and maintain all import-related documentation such as Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, Insurance Documents, and other statutory records.
• Ensure compliance with Customs regulations, DGFT guidelines, import policies, FEMA requirements, and other applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor shipment schedules, transit timelines, and clearance activities to minimize delays, avoid demurrage costs, and ensure timely material availability.
• Prepare and validate import costing by analyzing freight charges, customs duties, insurance, clearing expenses, and other landed cost components to achieve cost efficiency.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with overseas suppliers and vendors, ensuring smooth communication, timely order fulfillment, and resolution of shipment-related issues.

Preferred Experience

• Graduate; MBA / PG Diploma in Export-Import Management preferred.
• 10–15 years of experience in Import Procurement & Operations.
• Mandatory experience in the FMCG industry.
• Strong knowledge of import documentation, customs clearance, international trade regulations, and logistics.
• Experience working with international suppliers and freight partners.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
