Job summary

Confidential Jobs seeks an Import Logistics, Operations & Documentation Executive to support efficient, timely and compliant movement of goods across its international supply chain in India.

Role requires 3–6 years of hands-on import experience, a commerce-related degree, and proficiency in ERP/logistics systems. Knowledge of agri-commodities is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in import logistics, operations, or documentation.
  • Hands-on experience managing import shipments in India.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end import shipments from origin through customs clearance to final delivery.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, and customs brokers/CHAs.
  • Prepare and review import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, and related documents.
  • Ensure compliance with Indian customs regulations, duties, and applicable trade requirements.
  • Track shipments, ETAs, clearance status, and delivery milestones.
  • Proactively resolve customs queries, documentation discrepancies, shipment delays, demurrage, and detention issues.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Warehouse, and Sales teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Monitor freight, duties, handling, and other import-related costs.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and updates in ERP/logistics systems.
  • Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce turnaround time and logistics costs.

We’re Hiring: Import Logistics, Operations & Documentation Executive

We are looking for an experienced Import Logistics, Operations & Documentation Executive to join our team and support the efficient, timely, and compliant movement of goods across our international supply chain.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing end-to-end import operations in India, with strong knowledge of logistics coordination, customs clearance, import documentation, and regulatory compliance.

What We’re Looking For

Candidates should ideally have 3–6 years of relevant experience in import logistics, operations, or documentation, with hands-on experience managing import shipments in India.

A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is preferred, together with strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, stakeholder management skills, and proficiency in ERP/logistics systems.

Experience in agri-commodities, particularly rice or other agricultural products, would be a strong advantage.
