Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
  • 5 years of Import & Export experience in manufacturing, preferably FMCG.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, INCOTERMS, and shipping docs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end import/export activities for raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, etc.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters for timely movement of goods.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain import/export documentation: invoice, packing list, bill of lading, air waybill, origin certificate, insurance, etc.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Import & Export Executive with 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in FMCG. The candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end import and export operations for raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, etc, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and seamless coordination with production, procurement, and logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end import and export activities for raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, etc. Also take care of local logistics as well.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, Customs House Agents (CHA), shipping lines, and transporters to ensure timely movement of goods.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain import/export documentation, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, Certificate of Origin, Insurance Certificate, and other statutory documents.
  • Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, FEMA, GST, and other applicable import/export regulations.
  • Monitor shipment schedules to support uninterrupted production and customer deliveries.
  • Coordinate with the procurement, planning, warehouse, production, quality, and finance teams for smooth execution of import/export activities.
  • Track shipments, customs clearance, and delivery timelines, resolving any delays proactively.
  • Maintain records related to import/export transactions, duty payments, licenses, and compliance documentation.
  • Support audits and ensure accurate documentation for statutory and internal compliance.
  • Optimize logistics costs while maintaining service quality.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in Import & Export operations in a manufacturing company, preferably FMCG.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs clearance procedures, INCOTERMS, and shipping documentation.
  • Experience in handling imports of raw materials and exports of finished goods.
  • Familiarity with DGFT, IEC, GST, Customs, and FEMA regulations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) and MS Excel.
  • Strong coordination, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory and supply chain processes.
  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
