Job summary

Medico Hub in Tezpur, Assam is seeking an ICU Nurse Incharge with strong hands-on critical care experience to supervise ICU nursing operations, ensure high-quality patient care, and mentor staff.

The role requires B.Sc Nursing or GNM with valid registration; ICU/critical care certification is a plus and immediate joiners are preferred. You will work with a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity environment offering growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• B.Sc Nursing or GNM with valid Nursing Council registration.
• Critical Care / ICU certification is a plus.
• Experience as ICU Incharge or senior ICU staff preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day nursing operations of the ICU.
• Ensure quality and safe nursing care for critically ill patients.
• Allocate duties and prepare nursing staff schedules.
• Monitor patient condition, vital signs and treatment response.
• Coordinate with Intensivists, Consultants, RMO and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure proper medication administration and adherence to prescribed treatment.
• Monitor ventilated patients and ensure appropriate nursing care.
• Assist doctors during emergency procedures and ICU interventions.
• Ensure maintenance of ICU equipment and supplies.
• Monitor infection-control practices and hospital protocols.
• Supervise nursing documentation and handover procedures.
• Conduct regular nursing rounds and timely escalation when needed.
• Mentor ICU nursing staff and support their development.
• Ensure NABH and patient-safety standards are followed.

URGENT HIRING - ICU NURSE INCHARGE

• B.Sc Nursing / GNM
• Valid Nursing Council Registration
• Critical Care / ICU certification will be an added advantage

Experience

• Experienced ICU Nurse required
• Previous experience as ICU Incharge / Senior ICU Staff Nurse preferred
• Strong hands-on experience in Critical Care Nursing will be given preference

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day nursing operations of the ICU

• Conduct regular nursing rounds and ensure proper shift handovers
• Identify clinical deterioration and ensure timely escalation to the treating Consultant
• Manage and mentor ICU nursing staff and support their clinical development
• Ensure compliance with NABH, patient-safety and hospital quality standards
• Handle patient/attendant concerns professionally and coordinate with the concerned departments
