Job summary

Medico Hub in Tamil Nadu is urgently seeking an ICU Intensivist to lead and manage critically ill patients in a high‑acuity ICU. The role requires MD/ DNB with CC Fellowship or MEM, with preference for fellowship-trained candidates and NMC/State registration.

The Intensivist will oversee ventilators, invasive monitoring, and complex airway management while coordinating with surgeons, emergency physicians, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a modern clinical environment.

Qualifications

• MD or DNB with Fellowship in Critical Care and valid registration.
• MEM is preferred.
• Fellowship-trained in Critical Care is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Assess, stabilize, and treat emergency and critically ill patients.
• Manage ventilators, invasive monitoring, and hemodynamic support.
• Perform ICU procedures including intubation, central venous catheterization, arterial line insertion, and emergency airway management.
• Handle sepsis, shock, respiratory failure, poisoning, trauma, and multi-organ dysfunction.
• Coordinate with consultants, emergency physicians, surgeons, and nursing staff for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate ICU documentation, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, ICU guidelines, and patient safety standards.
