Job summary

Medico Hub is seeking a Consultant Intensivist for Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. The role involves independent ICU management, patient stabilization, and treatment of complex medical and surgical emergencies in a state-of-the-art facility.

Ideal candidates hold MD/DNB in Anaesthesiology or General Medicine with critical care training (IDCCM/Fellowship preferred) and possess valid medical council registration. Hands-on ICU experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• MD or DNB in anaesthesiology or general medicine with critical care qualification.
• Registration with AP medical council/board is required.
• Hands-on ICU experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Assess, stabilize, and treat medical and surgical emergencies.
• Manage ventilated patients, sepsis, shock, respiratory failure and MODS.
• Perform ICU procedures: intubation, central line, arterial line, emergency airway.
• Monitor hemodynamics and adjust treatment plans.
• Conduct regular ICU rounds and document progress.
• Coordinate with consultants, surgeons, ED, and nursing staff.
• Guide ICU nursing staff on care and protocols.
• Maintain ICU records, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Ensure infection control and patient safety in ICU protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ICU procedures including intubation, central line insertion, arterial line placement, and emergency airway management as per expertise

• Conduct regular ICU rounds and monitor patient progress
• Coordinate with consultants, surgeons, emergency physicians, and nursing staff
• Guide ICU nursing staff regarding patient care and critical care protocols
• Maintain accurate ICU records, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and ICU protocols
