Job Description

An ICU and OT Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care to critically ill patients and supporting surgical procedures in the intensive care unit and operation theatre. The includes patient monitoring, medication administration, pre- and post-operative care, assistance during procedures, emergency response, documentation, infection control, and coordination with medical and surgical teams.

• Provide nursing care to patients in ICU and OT areas as assigned.
• Assess patients and monitor vital signs and clinical condition.
• Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and treatments.
• Monitor critically ill patients and report changes promptly.
• Prepare patients for surgery and other clinical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during operative procedures.
• Prepare and maintain OT instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Follow surgical safety, aseptic, and infection-control practices.
• Monitor ICU equipment such as ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps as assigned.
• Assist with emergency procedures and resuscitation activities.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
• Maintain accurate nursing notes, treatment records, and procedure documentation.
