Job summary

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing activities in the operation theatre as assigned.
• Prepare OT schedules and ensure readiness for planned procedures.

• Guide junior OT nursing staff in perioperative care.
• Perform scrub or circulating nurse duties according to competency and assignment.

• Ensure accurate instrument, sponge, and needle counts.

• Coordinate patient transfer to and from the OT.
• Monitor OT inventory and report shortages or equipment faults.
• Support infection‑control audits and quality‑improvement activities.
• Guide junior staff on OT procedures and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with surgical, anesthesia, recovery, and nursing teams.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
