Job summary

BDO India invites a seasoned IT infrastructure architect to design and oversee large-scale enterprise infrastructure across servers, storage, networks, virtualization and cloud platforms.

You will drive cloud and network design for scalable, highly available systems, perform capacity planning, review architecture proposals, and guide implementation with cross-functional teams in a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of total professional experience.
• Minimum 7+ years in IT infrastructure with servers, storage, networking, virtualization, data centre and cloud.
• Experience in large enterprise, utility or mission-critical environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise IT infrastructure architecture across servers, storage, networks, virtualization, and cloud.
• Develop scalable, secure and highly available infrastructure solutions for large digital systems.
• Prepare infrastructure sizing and capacity planning based on business requirements.
• Design and review cloud architecture including public, private and hybrid clouds.
• Develop network architecture covering LAN/WAN, routing, switching, load balancing and firewalls.
• Evaluate infrastructure requirements and recommend technology solutions.
• Prepare technical specs, architecture documents, BoQs and solution designs.
• Assess compute, storage, network and cloud requirements for scale and performance.
• Ensure designs meet high availability, disaster recovery, security and performance.
• Coordinate with OEMs, CSPs, SI and vendors for infrastructure solutions.
• Review proposals and support procurement, RFPs and tenders.
• Provide guidance to project teams during implementation.
• Identify risks and capacity constraints and recommend mitigations.
• Align architecture with enterprise standards and best practices.

Job description

Role & Responsibility :-

• Design and develop enterprise IT infrastructure architecture covering servers, storage, networks, virtualization and cloud platforms.
• Develop scalable, secure and highly available infrastructure solutions for large digital systems.
• Prepare infrastructure sizing, capacity planning and technology architecture based on business and application requirements.
• Design and review cloud architecture, including public, private and hybrid cloud environments.
• Develop network architecture and design covering LAN/WAN, routing, switching, load balancing, firewalls and connectivity.
• Evaluate infrastructure requirements for applications and digital platforms and recommend appropriate technology solutions.
• Prepare technical specifications, architecture documents, infrastructure BoQs and solution designs.
• Assess compute, storage, network and cloud requirements for scalability, performance and future capacity.
• Ensure infrastructure designs meet requirements for high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity, security and performance.
• Coordinate with OEMs, cloud service providers, system integrators and technology vendors for infrastructure solutions.
• Review technical proposals and provide inputs for infrastructure-related procurement, RFPs and tenders.
• Support technical evaluation of infrastructure solutions, including compliance with specifications and architecture requirements.
• Monitor infrastructure implementation and provide technical guidance to project and implementation teams.
• Identify infrastructure risks, bottlenecks and capacity constraints and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Ensure alignment of infrastructure architecture with enterprise technology standards and best practices.
• Provide technical support for infrastructure modernization, migration and optimization initiatives.
• Prepare technical reports, architecture diagrams, assessment reports and recommendations for management/competent authorities.
• Coordinate with application, cybersecurity, data centre and other technical teams to ensure end-to-end solution integration.

4. Educational Qualification

Essential:

• B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering or a related discipline.

Candidates with relevant professional certifications in Cloud, Networking, Data Centre or Infrastructure Architecture will be preferred.

5. Experience

• Minimum 10 years of total professional experience.
• Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, including:
  • Servers and compute infrastructure
  • Storage and backup
  • Enterprise networking
  • Virtualization
  • Data centre infrastructure
  • Cloud infrastructure
  • DISCOM experience required
• Experience working in large enterprise, utility, government or mission-critical environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in cloud architecture, network design and infrastructure sizing.
• Experience in designing infrastructure for scalable, high-availability and business-critical digital systems.
• Experience in infrastructure implementation, migration, optimization and technology evaluation will be preferred.
