Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in India seeks an MQ specialist to build and manage IBM MQ environments, including cluster setup, load balancing, and monitoring of MQ listeners and channels.

The role requires detailed knowledge of IBM MQ and WebSphere MQ/MB, including security configuration and troubleshooting of MQ/MB issues, with focus on deployment in QA/Prod environments. On-site collaboration across teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring and managing IBM MQ environments, including queue managers, channels, queues, security, and dependencies.
• Ability to set up security for WebSphere MQ queues and other objects using RBAC.
• Proficient in SSL configuration on WebSphere MQ and related components.

Job description

Primary Skills :

• Build new instances of IBM MQ, Manage, configure, and monitor MQ Listeners, Command Servers, Channel initiators, Trigger Monitors, MQ Log files & Dead Letter Queues
• Setup of IBM Websphere MQ in a cluster environment for both load balancing and Failover
• Assess current-state MQ environments, including queue managers, channels, queues, security configurations, and dependencies.
• Analyze compatibility impacts, deprecated features, and new capabilities in the target MQ version/platform.
• Detailed knowledge of IBM MQ and IBM Websphere Message Broker 8 or IIB
• Able to setup security for WebSphere MQ queues & other objects for data access and for administration using role-based security.
• Proficient in SSL Configuration on WebSphere MQ.
• Troubleshoot Infrastructure and Application issues related to MQ/MB
