Job summary

Iquest Management Consultants is seeking an experienced IBM MQ & SFMS Technical Consultant for our banking-domain projects in India. The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience with middleware technologies, IBM MQ administration, and SFMS integration and support.

You will manage MQ environments, perform deployments and configurations, troubleshoot messaging issues, and collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable, secure messaging and high availability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in IBM MQ administration and support.
• Strong knowledge of IBM WebSphere MQ concepts.
• Hands-on experience with MQ queue managers, queues, channels, listeners, and message handling.
• Experience in SFMS support and integration.
• Good understanding of banking transaction messaging flows.
• Experience in troubleshooting MQ connectivity and message delivery issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support IBM MQ environments across development, testing, and production environments.
• Perform installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of IBM MQ components.
• Monitor MQ queues, channels, listeners, and resolve messaging-related issues.
• Troubleshoot message flow failures, queue issues, connectivity problems, and performance bottlenecks.
• Support SFMS application integration, message processing, and transaction flows.
• Analyze and resolve production incidents related to MQ and SFMS interfaces.
• Work with application teams, infrastructure teams, and business users for issue resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions for recurring issues.
• Manage deployments, configuration changes, and release activities.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of messaging infrastructure.
