Job summary

Burgeon It Services is seeking an IBM MQ Administrator in Pune/Chennai for a contract-to-hire engagement. The role requires strong IBM MQ expertise and hands-on experience with MQ appliances, TLS/SSL onboarding, and MQIPT to ensure secure, reliable messaging operations.

The candidate will lead incident resolution at Level 3/4, manage upgrades, automate remediation, and coordinate with global teams. Immediate notice period preferred and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IBM MQ support experience.
• TLS/SSL onboarding, CHLAUTH/CONNAUTH security policies.
• MQIPT, HA/DR, and automation scripting expertise.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3/4 escalation support for complex messaging issues.
• Perform firmware upgrades and lifecycle management for MQ appliances (M-Series).
• Secure onboarding and certificate rotation for SVRCONN and channels.
• Configure MQIPT to enable secure traffic across firewalls and DMZs.
• Identify toil and deliver automated remediation scripts (Python/Ansible/Shell).
• Collaborate with global counterparts and communicate effectively.

Job Description

• 5+ years of IBM MQ Support experience.
• Appliance Lifecycle Management: Plan and execute firmware upgrades across the IBM MQ Appliance fleet (M-Series); manage HA/DR synchronization and perform pre-upgrade health audits.
• Secure Onboarding & Connectivity: Manage the end-to-end TLS/SSL onboarding process for SVRCONN and Message Channels (SDR/RCV/Cluster). Configure and rotate digital certificates (KDB/JKS) and implement CHLAUTH/CONNAUTH security policies.
• MQIPT Infrastructure: Perform software upgrades, configuration, and tuning of IBM MQ Internet Pass-Thru (MQIPT) to ensure secure traffic flow through firewalls and DMZs.
• Self-Healing Implementation: Identify recurring production "toil" and deliver automated remediation scripts (using Python, Ansible, or Shell) to detect and resolve hung channels or stuck queues without manual intervention.
• Production Support: Provide Level 3/4 escalation support for complex messaging issues, including SSL handshake failures and FDC log analysis.
• Strong Communication Skills and capability to deal with business & Global counterparts independently.
