Job summary

ASSYSTEM INDIA is seeking an Hydraulic Modeller to develop, calibrate, and optimize water supply and sewerage network models for master planning and design projects. You will leverage hydraulic modelling, GIS integration, and data-driven analysis to support infrastructure recommendations.

The role involves performance evaluation, demand forecasting, and cooperation with water, wastewater, GIS, civil, and environmental engineers to deliver technical reports and design solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in utility master planning and detailed project reports.
• NRW and DMA studies experience preferred.
• Sewer network rehabilitation and expansion projects experience.
• Large-scale urban infrastructure and airport developments experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and manage hydraulic models for water distribution and sewerage collection systems.
• Perform network analysis for pressure, flow, velocity, storage, pumping, and system capacity assessments.
• Calibrate and validate models using field data, SCADA, flow monitoring, and operations data.
• Evaluate system performance under growth, demand, and climate resilience scenarios.
• Conduct water supply studies including demand forecasting, network optimization, reservoir sizing, pump station analysis, and pressure management.
• Conduct sewerage studies including dry weather flow, infiltration/inflow, surcharge analysis, and capacity evaluation.
• Integrate GIS, survey, asset, and utility data into hydraulic models.
• Identify bottlenecks and recommend upgrades, rehabilitation, and expansions.
• Support master plans, feasibility studies, detailed designs, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including water, wastewater, GIS, civil, and environmental engineers.

Job Summary

The role involves hydraulic modelling, capacity assessment, system performance evaluation, and preparation of technical recommendations for utility and infrastructure projects.
