Job summary

Assystem is seeking a Hydraulic Modeller to develop and calibrate hydraulic models for water supply and sewerage networks in Bengaluru. You will support master planning, design, rehabilitation, and operational improvements with detailed analysis and technical recommendations.

Role involves integration of GIS data, field data, and SCADA records to deliver high-quality reports and client-ready studies. Requires Civil/Water Resources background and 3–8 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Water Resources Engineering or related field.
• Master's Degree in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering preferred.
• 3-8 years of relevant hydraulic modelling experience requested.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and manage hydraulic models for water distribution and sewerage systems.
• Perform network analysis for pressure, flow, velocity, storage, pumping, and capacity assessments.
• Model calibration and validation using field data, SCADA records, and operational data.
• Evaluate system performance under growth, demand, and climate resilience scenarios.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for master plans and feasibility studies.
• Prepare technical reports and assist in client communications.

Role Summary
The Hydraulic Modeller will be responsible for the development, calibration, analysis, and optimization of water supply and sewerage network models to support master planning, design, rehabilitation, and operational improvement projects. The role involves hydraulic modelling, capacity assessment, system performance evaluation, and preparation of technical recommendations for utility and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and manage hydraulic models for water distribution and sewerage collection systems.
• Perform network analysis for pressure, flow, velocity, storage, pumping, and system capacity assessments.
• Conduct model calibration and validation using field data, SCADA records, flow monitoring, and operational data.
• Evaluate existing and future system performance under growth, demand, and climate resilience scenarios.
• Undertake water supply studies including demand forecasting, network optimization, reservoir sizing, pump station analysis, and pressure management.
• Undertake sewerage studies including dry weather flow analysis, infiltration/inflow assessment, surcharge analysis, and capacity evaluation.
• Integrate GIS, survey, asset, and utility data into hydraulic models.
• Identify network bottlenecks and recommend upgrade, rehabilitation, and expansion measures.
• Support preparation of master plans, feasibility studies, detailed designs, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including water, wastewater, GIS, civil, and environmental engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Master's Degree in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering preferred.

Experience

• 3-8 years of relevant experience in hydraulic modelling of water supply and sewerage systems.
• Experience in municipal infrastructure, utility master planning, smart city, airport, industrial, or urban development projects is desirable.
