Haptiq is seeking an experienced HR Manager to support our growing India organization. Reporting to the VP, Head of HR, this role will oversee HR and administrative operations in India, partnering with local leaders and employees while ensuring alignment with Haptiq's global People strategy and policies.

The ideal candidate is a strong HR generalist and business partner who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 6–10 years of progressive HR experience in tech or global org.
• Strong knowledge of Indian employment laws, payroll, and compliance.
• Experience leading HR teams and partnering with business leaders.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance hands-on execution with business partnership.

Responsibilities

• Partner with India leaders on employee relations, performance management, and organizational changes.
• Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, benefits, lifecycle processes, and HR systems.
• Ensure compliance with Indian employment laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Manage and develop the HR and Administration teams, fostering a high-performing service-oriented environment.
• Oversee workplace and administrative operations, including vendors and service providers.
• Lead Talent Acquisition and partner with leaders on hiring, onboarding, and talent initiatives.
• Drive employee engagement and internal communications to improve retention.
• Support performance management and career development across India.
• Provide guidance on employee concerns with discretion and sound judgment.
• Monitor HR metrics and provide insights to leaders for informed decisions.

• Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, benefits, employee lifecycle processes, and HR systems.
• Ensure compliance with Indian employment laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Manage and develop the HR and Administration teams, fostering a high-performing and service-oriented environment.
• Oversee workplace and administrative operations, including relevant vendors and service providers.
• Lead Talent Acquisition and partner with business leaders on hiring, workforce planning, onboarding, and talent initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 6–10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a technology, professional services, or global organization.
• Strong knowledge of Indian employment laws, HR operations, payroll, and compliance.
• Experience managing HR teams and partnering effectively with business leaders.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance hands-on execution with effective business partnership in a fast-paced environment.
