Zigsaw in Kolkata, a manufacturing plant with about 600 employees, seeks an experienced HR Manager to lead the people function on-site. You will report to the CEO and handle workforce management, employee relations, statutory compliance, recruitment, and support expansion into a second shift.

The role requires hands-on plant-floor HR management, strong knowledge of labour laws, payroll/HRMS exposure, and experience with unions.

Mansioni

• Handle worker grievances, disciplinary matters, absenteeism, show-cause notices, and domestic enquiries.
• Maintain shop-floor engagement and conduct worker/welfare committee meetings.
• Support second-shift rollout, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and shift transition.
• Manage recruitment for shop-floor, supervisory, and office positions.
• Conduct induction, safety orientation, and probation reviews.
• Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Gratuity, Bonus Act, Factories Act, West Bengal labour laws, and contract labour regulations.
• Oversee attendance, payroll inputs, overtime, leave, F&F settlements, and contractor compliance.
• Coordinate training, employee welfare, safety initiatives, canteen, transport, and medical facilities.
• Prepare monthly HR MIS covering headcount, attrition, absenteeism, grievances, overtime, and compliance

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead the people function for a manufacturing plant in Kolkata with approximately 600 employees.

This is a plant-based, shop-floor-facing role reporting directly to the CEO, with a key focus on workforce management, employee relations, statutory compliance, recruitment, and supporting the expansion into a second shift.

Location: Kolkata – On-site (Plant and Office)

Factory HR Experience: Minimum 3 years
