Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and hands‑on HR Manager to take ownership of the complete employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on talent acquisition, employee experience, culture and people development.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the leadership team to build high‑quality human capital, strengthen HR processes and create a workplace where ambitious talent can thrive.
Recruitment will be a key priority. You will lead hiring initiatives across departments, build strong talent pipelines and take direct ownership of key and senior‑level hires.
You will be supported by a junior HR team member, while overall ownership of HR outcomes, quality and execution will rest with you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
- Lead and drive recruitment initiatives across departments and levels.
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines.
- Work closely with leadership and department heads to understand hiring requirements.
- Develop effective hiring strategies aligned with business growth.
- Take direct ownership of critical and senior‑level hiring.
- Guide and supervise the junior HR team member handling day‑to‑day recruitment.
- Improve interview processes, candidate evaluation and overall candidate experience.
- Strengthen the company’s employer brand and attract high‑quality talent.
2. Culture & Employee Experience
- Play an active role in shaping and strengthening the organisation’s culture.
- Act as a trusted bridge between employees and leadership.
- Create an environment where employees feel heard, valued and motivated.
- Identify workplace concerns and recommend practical solutions.
- Drive employee engagement and team‑building initiatives.
- Conduct feedback sessions and pulse checks.
- Implement initiatives focused on employee satisfaction and retention.
3. Strategic HR Leadership
- Lead the overall HR function with a focus on quality, accountability and people development.
- Partner with leadership to understand business growth plans and workforce requirements.
- Develop and improve HR processes, documentation and systems.
- Recommend and implement employee‑centric policies and people management frameworks.
- Draft and manage HR policies, employee communications and official documentation.
4. Performance & People Development
- Work with department heads to manage structured performance reviews and feedback processes.
- Support managers in identifying high performers and development opportunities.
- Identify capability gaps and recommend appropriate development initiatives.
- Address underperformance constructively and systematically, including PIPs where required.
- Promote continuous learning and professional development.
- Coordinate internal workshops, learning initiatives and external training programmes.
5. Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle
- Create a structured and engaging onboarding experience for new employees.
- Oversee induction, documentation, workspace readiness and cross‑team coordination.
- Personally support the onboarding of senior and key hires.
- Ensure smooth and professional employee offboarding.
- Manage employee lifecycle processes effectively from joining to exit.
6. HR Operations & Compliance
- Oversee employee documentation, attendance, leave and payroll inputs.
- Ensure HR policies and internal processes are implemented consistently.
- Coordinate employee insurance and relevant HR vendors.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date employee records.
- Support the implementation and improvement of HRMS and other HR systems.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant HR experience.
- Prior experience in an advertising, marketing, creative or communications agency is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the agency ecosystem, its pace and talent requirements.
- Proven experience in recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Ability to identify quality talent beyond CV and JD matching.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Excellent people management and relationship‑building abilities.
- High ownership, maturity and discretion when handling sensitive matters.
- Hands‑on and solution‑oriented approach.
- Ability to work directly with leadership and build trust across teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Office, HRMS and other workplace tools.
