Job summary

Growth For Impact is seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead environmental health and safety initiatives across operations in India. You will develop and implement policies to identify hazards, investigate incidents, and train staff in safety protocols.

You will also conduct audits to ensure regulatory compliance, maintain community and stakeholder relationships, and manage projects independently while guiding junior professionals.

Qualifications

• Advanced education in environmental health and safety disciplines.
• Experience managing projects and processes independently.
• Proven ability to coach and review junior professionals.
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex issues.
• Knowledge of environmental and worker safety regulations.

ROLE

• Investigate accidents and environmental incidents, and liaise with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to determine causes and prevent recurrence.
• Provide advice and training on safety protocols.
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with organizational and government standards related to environmental and employee health and safety.
• Maintain relationships with the community, environmental groups, and other stakeholders impacted by the organization’s environmental performance.
• Manage projects and processes, working independently with limited supervision.
• Coach and review the work of lower‑level professionals.
• Address difficult and complex problems.
