Job summary

AT India Auto Parts is seeking a dedicated HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Officer to implement safety policies and ensure a safe workplace in Karnataka. The role focuses on compliance with statutory and environmental regulations and fostering a culture of safety on the shop floor.

The successful candidate will lead safety training, audits, incident investigations, and CAPA implementation, while coordinating with plant leadership to maintain ISO 14001 standards and a robust Work Permit

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English, Kannada, and Hindi (written and verbal).
• Strong knowledge of KSPCB guidelines and ISO 14001.
• Proficient in MS Office and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Safety Training including orientation and Kaizen.
• Perform safety audits and prepare detailed audit reports.
• Assist in incident investigations and implement CAPA.
• Ensure compliance with KSPCB regulations and timely filing of statutory returns.
• Support ISO 14001 implementation and maintenance.
• Manage Work Permit System and conduct Toolbox Talks (TBT).
• Inspect and maintain fire safety systems including extinguishers, hydrants, and panels.
• Coordinate HSE meetings, maintain minutes, and analyze injury/illness trends.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Officer to support the implementation of organizational safety policies and procedures. The primary objective is to maintain a safe, healthy workplace and ensure strict compliance with statutory and statutory/environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety Training: Conduct comprehensive training programs including Basic HSE Orientation, Hiyari Hatto (Near-Miss Reporting), Kaizen, Stop-Call-Wait, simulation-based training, and Waste Management.
• Audits & Inspections: Perform daily shop floor patrols and periodic safety audits to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, or risky practices. Prepare and circulate detailed audit reports.
• Incidents & Investigations: Assist in incident/accident investigations, compile verification reports, collaborate with technical specialists, and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) to prevent recurrence.
• Compliance & Statutory Requirements: Ensure compliance with KSPCB (Karnataka State Pollution Control Board) regulations and timely filing of statutory returns.
• ISO Standards: Support the implementation, standardization, and maintenance of ISO 14001 guidelines at the site.
• Operational Safety: Manage the Work Permit System, conduct Toolbox Talks (TBT), and execute Kiken Yochi Training (KYT) for daily shop floor activities.
• Fire Safety Inspections: Inspect and maintain fire safety systems including Fire Extinguishers, Hydrants, and Fire Panels.
• Documentation & Data Analysis: Coordinate HSE meetings, maintain meeting minutes, and analyze injury/illness trends to identify and address focus areas.

Key Reporting & Relationships

• Internal Reporting: HSE Head / Plant Head / Department HODs
• Cross-Functional: Plant Leadership, Department Heads, Floor Workers, and Staff

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Languages: Proficiency in English, Kannada, and Hindi (Written & Verbal).
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of KSPCB guidelines, ISO 14001 norms, and shop floor hazard identification.
• Software Skills: Good computer literacy (MS Office / Documentation).
• Soft Skills: Excellent presentation, communication, and training execution capabilities.
