Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020.
- Manage MoEF & CC/CPCB aligned compliance including hazardous waste, e‑waste, batteries, and plastic waste rules.
- Maintain statutory compliance under Karnataka Shops & Commercial Establishments Act, Fire Force Act, and KSPCB requirements.
- Interface with Labour Department, Fire Services and KSPCB.
- Maintain the EHS compliance calendar and ensure adherence to Risk Management & Workplace Safety.
- Conduct workplace risk assessments and ergonomic evaluations.
- Implement Contractor Safety Management and Permit‑to‑Work systems.
- Lead emergency preparedness plans and drills.
- Manage environmental monitoring, waste handling, and sustainability programs.
- Deliver EHS induction and role‑based training.
- Promote incidents and near‑miss reporting culture.
- Engage with contractors to ensure compliance with company EHS standards.
- Drive employee engagement in EHS initiatives and awareness campaigns.
- Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Conduct audits and report EHS performance metrics.
Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science or Safety.
- 5–8 years EHS experience in India with Karnataka compliance knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of OSH Code and MoEF & CC requirements.
- NEBOSH IDip or Diploma in Industrial Safety (Approved by SBTET) ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 certifications.
