Job Summary

AISC teachers are responsible for ensuring that all instructional and assessment practices, curriculum development, classroom management, and professional growth align with and contribute to the School's Mission, Core Values, and Vision for the AISC Learner. Duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Designing and delivering engaging, inclusive, and language-rich learning experiences that support multilingual learners in developing their academic English proficiency while accessing and engaging meaningfully with the High School curriculum. The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in specialist EAL pedagogy, language acquisition, and scaffolding strategies that support students across a range of English proficiency levels and subject areas. A highly collaborative educator, the candidate will work closely with content-area teachers to embed language development into disciplinary learning, with experience in co-planning, co-teaching, and designing differentiated learning experiences highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

1. At least 4-5 years of relevant experience working as a science teacher in a similar capacity
2. Experience teaching IB English Language B, preferred
3. Valid Teaching credential
4. A record of continued professional growth
5. Experience working with English as Additional Language learners
6. Experience teaching and learning in a technology-integrated environment
7. Experience in leading co-curricular activities
