Job summary

Genpact, a global technology-driven services company, seeks a payroll leader to drive end-to-end payroll operations at scale in Pune. You will ensure timely payroll closure, oversee tax filings, and coordinate with Banking for salary disbursements, while partnering with HR, C&B, and Accounting to align payroll with business needs.

You will mentor the payroll team, drive process improvements, and lead transformational initiatives at the edge of AI and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll closure.
• Review payroll-related taxes and oversee monthly tax filings in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with the Banking team to ensure timely funding for salary disbursements and tax payments.
• Manage payroll activities including monthly variance analysis and account reconciliations.
• Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits.
• Maintain strong communication and collaboration with Hiring, C&B, HR, and Accounting teams to align payroll operations with cross-functional impacts.
• Mentor and guide the payroll team to optimize performance and ensure process efficiency.
