Title: HRIS Manager & NA Payroll Specialist

Reports to: CHRO

About the Role

CAI Software, an STG portfolio company, is a fast‑growing, private equity‑backed business at the forefront of ERP and process manufacturing solutions. We are seeking a HRIS Manager & North American Payroll Specialist to play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of our people operations. This position oversees the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of our HRIS platform while managing end‑to‑end payroll processing for employees across the U.S. and Canada. Partnering closely with HR, Finance, and IT, this role ensures seamless data integrity, timely payroll delivery, and compliance with regional employment and tax regulations. The ideal candidate combines technical HRIS expertise with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills to drive operational excellence and enhance the employee experience.

Role Responsibilities

UKG System Maintenance:

• Maintain data integrity, UKG Pro data audit, employee file management, Kronos time management system, Udemy access management, and third‑party integration maintenance.
• Security administration for UKG through role and user administration.

Implementation of new modules / projects / system changes and upgrades:

• Implementation of different UKG modules such as LMS, performance management, succession planning, and coaching & development.
• Modify fields through platform configurations and business rules.
• Set up workflow structures for new and existing processes.
• Create new organization structures across platforms for M&A’s and divestitures.

Reporting & Analytics:

• Set up scheduled and ad‑hoc reports using Cognos & BI.
• Run reports and notifications from multiple systems including Udemy, UKG LMS, and time‑management modules.
• Configure alerts through Event Studio and dashboards.
• Act as the contact for system teams and external vendors.
• Sole contact for third‑party vendors such as UKG and Udemy, handling integrations with benefit providers and other vendors; mitigate day‑to‑day issues, follow up on cases, service requests, and upgrades.
• Run semi‑monthly and weekly payroll for North America–based companies through UKG.
• Collaborate with teams to finalize input and processing for payments; set up tax structures and earnings/deductions.
