Weekday AI (YC W21) is seeking an experienced HR Operations & Payroll Transactions Specialist to manage employee-related transactions across the lifecycle. The role focuses on HR operations, Workday transactions, organisational changes, compensation updates, and payroll-related activities.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on HR systems experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with HR, Payroll, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and timely processing

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in HR Operations, HR Shared Services or Payroll operations.
• Hands-on experience with Workday or similar HRIS.
• Strong understanding of employee lifecycle transactions and payroll-related actions.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage employee-related transactions in Workday accurately within defined timelines.
• Handle HR transactions related to changes, promotions, transfers, and lifecycle events.

We are looking for an experiencedHR Operations & Payroll Transactions Specialistto manage and process employee-related transactions accurately and efficiently across the employee lifecycle. The role focuses onHR operations, Workday transactions, organisational changes, compensation updates, and payroll-related activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, hands-on experience with HR systems, and a solid understanding of HR transaction processes. You will work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure employee data and transactions are processed accurately and within defined timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and manage employee-related transactions inWorkdayaccurately and within defined timelines.
• Manage HR transactions related tojob changes, promotions, transfers, organisational movements, and employee lifecycle events.
• Process compensation-related updates and changes in accordance with approved HR processes.
• Support payroll-related transactions and ensure accurate and timely transmission of relevant employee information.
• Review transaction requests and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Validate employee data and identify discrepancies before processing changes.
• Coordinate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and other stakeholders to resolve transaction-related issues.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR system data remains current and reliable.
• Follow established HR operations processes, controls, SOPs, and service-level requirements.
• Support audits, data validations, reconciliations, and compliance-related activities when required.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and records for processed transactions.
• Handle employee and HR-related information with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Respond to queries related to HR transactions and provide timely resolution or escalation.
• Track transaction volumes, pending requests, exceptions, and turnaround times.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to HR transaction processes and workflows.
• Contribute to process standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives within HR operations.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 3+ years of experiencein HR Operations, HR Shared Services, HR Transactions, Payroll Operations, or a similar function.
• Hands-on experience working withWorkdayor a comparable HRIS is strongly prefered.
• Strong understanding of employee lifecycle transactions, includingjob changes, organisational movements, compensation updates, and payroll-related actions.
• Experience working with HR and payroll data in a structured, process-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of data accuracy.
• Ability to review, validate, and process large volumes of employee transactions efficiently.
• Good understanding of HR processes, controls, documentation, and confidentiality requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively withHR, Payroll, Finance, and business teams.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working with HR systems, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and digital workflows.
• Experience working inHR shared services, global HR operations, or multinational environmentsis an advantage.
