Job Title :

HR Operations Generalist

Location : Bangalore / Hyderabad / Chennai
Summary / Objective

The HR Operations Generalist owns the day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of core HR operations that support the U.S. Human Resources team, including onboarding, separations, redeployment (bench) follow-up, referral program support, recognition and engagement, compliance tracking, and Amber shared-services support. This role exercises independent judgment in managing transitioned processes end to end and partners with U.S. HR leadership, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Redeployment, Payroll, and HRIS. Matters requiring employee relations judgment, U.S. employment law interpretation, or compensation decisions are escalated to the appropriate HR Business Partner or U.S. HR leadership.

Essential Job Functions
Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle
  • Own execution and continuous improvement of the onboarding program for remote and office-based U.S. employees, including new-hire communications, onboarding materials, employee hub content, new-hire check-ins, and feedback, and serve as a resource to new hires and hiring managers.
  • Maintain onboarding and ongoing compliance requirements, including monthly OIG/SAM exclusion screenings, credential upkeep, and background verification (ISO BGV) tracking and reporting.
  • Process separations in HR systems, including bench terminations, and coordinate handoffs with Payroll, IT, and other downstream teams.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential employee records and personnel files.
  • Partner with HRIS to move repeatable onboarding communications and handoffs to automated workflows.
Redeployment & Referral Program Support
  • Follow up with redeployment managers and the REMO process on summary gaps, such as scoring clarification or missing information, so bench employees can be considered for open roles without delay.
  • Track and process employee referral bonuses with Payroll, and send hot-job and promotional-opportunity communications to employees.
Recognition, Culture & Engagement
  • Administer employee recognition and milestone programs, including Omega Global Awards, STAR quarterly awards, and Golden Brick service awards.
  • Support employee engagement surveys, including data collection, tracking, analysis, and follow-up action plans with managers.
  • Prepare employee communications related to culture, engagement, and recognition, and identify opportunities to improve the employee and candidate experience.
HR Operations, Compliance & Amber Support
  • Provide hands on support for performance management, leave administration, and policy communication.
  • Track time-sensitive compliance requirements, including immigration expirations, mailed government notices, wage change processing, and handbook updates and acknowledgments.
  • Serve as the primary resource for routine employee HR questions, including Amber shared-services chat inquiries, resolving standard matters and escalating employee relations or other complex matters to the appropriate HR Business Partner or U.S. HR leadership.
  • Support HR audits by gathering, organizing, and submitting required documentation.
Key Success Indicators / Attributes
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, discretion, and sound decision-making.
  • Sound judgment on when to resolve an issue directly and when to escape to U.S. HR.
  • Ability to manage multiple recurring deliverables and adjust to changing business needs.
  • Proactive, self-directed, and results-oriented approach to work.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Comfort partnering with U.S.-based teams across time zones.
