Job Summary
We are looking for a hands‑on HR Manager to lead human resources for our 250‑member blue‑collar workforce. In this role, you will handle everything from factory hiring and payroll tracking to strict international buyer compliance. Your main goal is to keep our factory running smoothly, ensure we pass all export audits, and maintain a safe, productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
1. International Buyer Audits & Compliance (Mandatory)
- Audit Readiness: Maintain daily paperwork to ensure 100% success in BSCI, Sedex and OEKO-TEX audits.
- Legal Rules: Enforce all local labor laws, including the Factories Act, Minimum Wages, PF and ESIC.
- Corrective Actions: Fix any compliance gaps immediately to safeguard our export orders.
2. Hiring and Onboarding
- Factory Recruitment: Recruit and select skilled tailors, weavers, checkers and packers.
- Contract Management: Manage relationships with outside agencies for seasonal worker needs.
- Quick Induction: Welcome new workers and train them on factory rules and quality standards.
3. Worker Welfare and Relations
- Open Communication: Act as the direct link between management and workers to solve issues early.
- Floor Presence: Spend time on the factory floor daily to understand worker needs and check conditions.
- Welfare Facilities: Supervise clean drinking water, canteen hygiene, restrooms and first‑aid rooms.
- Conflict resolution -High resilience, local language fluency and strong ground‑level conflict resolution abilities
4. Attendance and Payroll Support
- Time Tracking: Manage the daily biometric attendance system and verify shift schedules. Expertise in attendance tracking, shift rostering and compliance MIS reporting.
- Overtime & Wages: Calculate accurate overtime and leave data so that the payroll team can pay workers on time.
- Absence Control: Track daily absenteeism and work with floor supervisors to keep lines fully staffed.
5. Factory Safety and Training
- Safety Enforcer: Ensure all workers wear their protective gear, like masks and needle guards.
- Drills & Training: Organise regular fire safety drills, machinery safety classes and health camps.

Qualifications and Skills
Requirements
- Education: Degree in HR, Social Work (MSW), Labor Law or a related field.
- Experience: 7-12 years of progressive corporate experience in HR
in a manufacturing plant (Home Textiles, Garments, or Apparel
preferred)
- Experience in handling high‑volume, bulk or frontline recruitment (manufacturing, logistics, warehousing or facility management).
- Proven track record in managing third‑party contractors and labor vendors.
- Experience connecting with ITIs, polytechnics and local sourcing networks.
- Leadership Role: 5+ years of experience in HR department in a Factory environment.
- Industry Exposure: Successfully handled labour relations, union management and scaling workforce architecture
- Strategic Business Alignment: Ability to align workforce planning and organisational development with long‑term company revenue goals
- Proficiency in managing HRIS & Data Analytics.
- Compliance & Labour Laws: In‑depth knowledge of employment compliance, corporate governance and local labour legislation
- Audit Expertise: Proven experience successfully handling BSCI and Sedex audits.
- Language: Fluent in the local language to connect easily with the factory workforce.
