Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Manager HR to lead and manage end-to-end HR operations for our manufacturing unit. The role will be responsible for recruitment, training and development, performance management, payroll, statutory compliance, administration, vendor and contractor management, employee relations, documentation, and strategic HR initiatives.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of manufacturing HR practices, labour laws, statutory compliance, HR analytics, and employee engagement, along with strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Skill / Qualifications
- Any Graduate / Postgraduate from a recognized university
- MBA/PGDM in HR will be preferred
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with MBA/PGDM in HR will be preferred
- 8+ years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of HR operations, labour laws, statutory compliance, payroll, PMS, and employee relations
- Good understanding of PF, ESIC, Gratuity, and other applicable statutory requirements
- Knowledge of Factory & Boilers, Labour Department, and Pollution Department compliance
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HRMS/ERP systems
- Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Experience in vendor, contractor, and administrative management
Job Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, including manpower planning, sourcing, screening, interviews, selection, salary discussions, offer management, and onboarding
- Identify training needs and manage Training & Development (T&D) programs, including induction, technical, behavioural, safety, compliance, and skill-development training
- Prepare and monitor the annual training calendar, training records, feedback, assessments, and training effectiveness
- Manage the complete Performance Management System (PMS), including KRA/KPI setting, performance reviews, appraisals, increments, promotions, transfers, and development plans
- Manage monthly payroll by verifying attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, deductions, and other payroll inputs
- Ensure accurate and timely statutory compliance related to PF, ESIC, Gratuity, and other applicable labour regulations
- Coordinate with Labour Department, Factory & Boilers Department, Pollution Control authorities, and other relevant statutory authorities
- Maintain statutory registers, licences, returns, notices, records, and compliance documentation and support inspections and audits
- Manage day-to-day HR administration and facility operations, including housekeeping, pantry/canteen, security, employee facilities, and other support services
- Manage vendors and service providers, including selection, negotiation, contracts, performance monitoring, documentation, and billing
- Manage contractor workforce, including manpower deployment, onboarding, attendance, documentation, billing, statutory compliance, and performance
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation covering joining, confirmation, transfers, promotions, increments, disciplinary actions, and separation
- Prepare and maintain HR MIS, reports, dashboards, policies, SOPs, and HR analytics for management review and decision-making
- Handle employee relations, grievances, engagement, disciplinary matters, and workplace issues
- Drive strategic HR initiatives related to manpower planning, employee engagement, retention, workforce productivity, talent management, succession planning, and organizational development
- Work closely with management and department heads to align HR strategies with business and workforce requirements
