Job description

Fairfax Solution is looking for an experienced HR Functional Consultant who brings together deep HR domain expertise, payroll process knowledge, HRMS implementation experience, and a strong command of statutory and income tax compliances.

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with clients to understand their HR and payroll requirements, configure and implement HRMS solutions, and ensure compliance with Indian statutory regulations. You'll be a trusted advisor bridging the gap between HR business needs and technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze client HR and payroll requirements; map them to HRMS functionality
• Configure, implement, and support HRMS software for clients across industries
• Manage end-to-end payroll process consulting — from salary structure design to payroll processing
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements: PF, ESIC, PT, Gratuity, Bonus, LWF
• Handle income tax calculations, Form 16, TDS returns, and IT compliance advisory
• Train client teams on HRMS usage, payroll workflows, and compliance processes
• Create functional specifications, SOPs, and user documentation
• Support clients during audits and compliance reviews

What We're Looking For

• 6 years of experience in HR consulting, payroll processing, or HRMS implementation
• Strong knowledge of Indian payroll — CTC structuring, payslip components, reimbursements
• Hands-on experience with HRMS software (SAP HCM, GreytHR, Keka, Darwinbox, or similar)
• In-depth understanding of Indian statutory compliance: PF, ESIC, PT, Gratuity, Bonus Act
• Solid knowledge of Income Tax provisions applicable to salaried employees (Chapter VIA, perquisites, TDS)
• Excellent analytical, communication, and client-management skills
• MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent; CA/CS intermediate would be an added advantage
