The role is based at the Head Office in Sachin with regular travel to plant locations for inspections, implementation, and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own complete housekeeping and cleanliness across all Steamhouse plants.
• Develop and implement SOPs, schedules, checklists and standards.
• Coordinate with Plant Heads and EHS/Safety teams for consistent practices.
• Regularly visit plants for inspections, audits and improvements.
• Train teams on housekeeping, hygiene, safety, PPE and equipment usage.
• Prepare monthly housekeeping performance reports for senior management.

About the Role

Steamhouse India Limited is introducing a new Industrial Housekeeping & Facility Management Department and is looking for an experienced professional to establish and manage the function across multiple plant locations.

The candidate should have Strong of experience in industrial housekeeping, plant cleanliness, and facility management, with the ability to develop professional housekeeping standards and systems. The role will be based at the Head Office, with regular travel to plant locations for inspections, implementation, and improvement.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Complete Housekeeping Management

• Own the complete housekeeping and cleanliness function across all Steamhouse plants.
• Establish and maintain professional housekeeping standards for industrial premises.
• Ensure cleanliness of production areas, boiler/utility areas, workshops, warehouses, offices, roads, parking areas, gardens, canteens, rest areas, and common facilities.
• Ensure all plant locations remain clean, organized, hygienic, safe, and presentable.
• Develop a professional housekeeping culture across all locations.

Housekeeping System & Standards Development

• Develop and Implement Housekeeping SOPs, cleaning schedules, checklists, inspection formats, and standards.
• Define what needs to be cleaned, cleaning frequency, cleaning methods, responsible manpower, required equipment, and expected standards.
• Establish standardized housekeeping practices across all plants.
• Standardize cleaning equipment, chemicals, consumables, tools, and methods.
• Introduce professional housekeeping practices inspired by premium hotel/facility management standards, adapted to industrial environments.

Multi-Plant Management

• Centrally manage and monitor housekeeping operations from the Head Office.
• Regularly visit different plant locations for physical inspections, audits, and improvement activities.
• Coordinate with Plant Heads, Administration, Operations, Maintenance, and EHS/Safety teams.
• Ensure uniform housekeeping standards across all locations.
• Compare plant-wise housekeeping performance and identify gaps.
• Take ownership of corrective actions and ensure timely closure.

Manpower & Contractor Management

• Manage housekeeping supervisors, workers, contractors, and external housekeeping agencies (If required).
• Determine manpower requirements based on plant area, workload, shifts, and operational requirements.
• Define duties, responsibilities, shifts, and work allocation.
• Monitor discipline, productivity, performance, and service quality.
• Train the internal team on the importance of professional housekeeping, cleaning techniques, hygiene, safety, PPE, chemical handling, and proper equipment usage.
• Monitor and evaluate housekeeping contractor performance.

Inspection, Audit & Continuous Improvement

• Conduct regular housekeeping inspections and audits across all plants.
• Develop a plant-wise Housekeeping Rating / Scoring System.
• Implement 5S, Kaizen, workplace organization, visual management, and continuous improvement.
• Identify housekeeping gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare monthly housekeeping performance reports for senior management.
• Continuously improve the overall cleanliness, hygiene, appearance, organization, and working environment of Steamhouse plants.
