The Hospital Insurance Executive manages insurance and cashless hospitalization processes, coordinating with patients, insurance companies, third-party administrators (TPAs), and hospital departments. The involves verifying policy details, obtaining pre-authorizations, submitting claims, monitoring approvals, resolving documentation gaps, and supporting timely claim settlement.

• Verify patients insurance policies, eligibility, and coverage details.
• Explain insurance and cashless hospitalization procedures to patients and attendants.
• Collect and verify required insurance documents.
• Submit pre-authorization requests to insurance companies and TPAs.
• Coordinate with doctors and clinical departments to obtain medical justification and supporting records.
• Follow up on pre-authorization requests and approval status.
• Communicate approved coverage limits and exclusions to the concerned teams.
• Monitor requests for extensions of authorization during hospitalization.
• Coordinate with IP billing for accurate preparation of insurance-related bills.
• Submit final bills and discharge summaries for claim approval.
• Verify claim documents for completeness before submission.
• Follow up on pending claims, queries, and settlement status.
• Respond to insurer and TPA queries within required timelines.
• Maintain records of approvals, claim submissions, deductions, and settlements.
• Assist in resolving claim rejections and deductions by coordinating with relevant departments.
