Job summary

2coms is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Tower Crane to supervise erection, commissioning and maintenance of tower cranes at project sites in India. The role requires hands-on experience with various crane types and strong electrical troubleshooting and site coordination skills.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of relevant experience in Tower Crane operations.
• Hands-on experience with Tower Cranes / Luffing Jib / Flat Top / Hammerhead Cranes.
• Knowledge of electrical control systems, panels, motors, drives, sensors, safety devices.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.
• Strong site coordination and team handling.

Responsibilities

• Supervise tower crane erection, commissioning, maintenance, climbing, shifting, and dismantling.
• Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning checks.
• Diagnose and coordinate rectification of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues.
• Troubleshoot crane electrical control systems, limit switches, safety devices, and control panels.
• Ensure proper functioning of Load Moment Limiter and other safety systems.
• Monitor preventive maintenance and breakdown activities to maximize crane uptime.
• Coordinate with operators, riggers, erection teams, project engineers, technicians, and client representatives.
• Coordinate height/shift activities and climbing operations.
• Maintain inspection, maintenance, breakdown, and crane status reports.
• Ensure availability of critical electrical spares, tools, and consumables.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE, lifting plans and SOPs.
• Coordinate with third‑party inspection agencies as needed.
• Support breakdown investigation and basic root‑cause analysis.

Requirements

• 8–15 years of relevant experiencein Tower Crane operations, erection, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  
• Strong hands‑on experience withTower Cranes / Luffing Jib / Flat Top / Hammerhead Cranes.
  
• Good knowledge ofelectrical control systems, panels, motors, drives, sensors, limit switches, and safety systems.
  
• Exposure to mechanical and hydraulic crane systems will be preferred.
  
• Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.
  
• Good understanding ofhoisting, slewing, trolley mechanisms, climbing systems, and anti‑collision systems.
  
• Strong site coordination and team‑handling skills.
  
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.
