Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Pune to oversee operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment, focusing on pumps, turbines, valves and pipelines. The role includes preventive, breakdown and predictive maintenance, with emphasis on safety and efficiency at site operations.

The candidate will manage subcontractors and vendor contracts while ensuring excellent client service and adherence to CMMS processes and SOPs for reliable utility support.

Qualifications

• Qualification in mechanical engineering as Diploma or BE/B.Tech with relevant experience.
• Experience in operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment and pumps, valves, pipes.
• Hands-on in preventive, breakdown and predictive maintenance.
• Experience in auditing water and wastewater treatment facilities and line commissioning.
• Capable of managing customer relationships and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical equipment to ensure reliable utility services.
• Implement and monitor preventive, breakdown and predictive maintenance programs.
• Manage subcontracts, vendor contracts and purchase orders at site.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure effective communication with clients.
• Carry out EHS, quality procedures and SOPs at the site.

Job description

• Candidate should have qualification of either Diploma in Mechanical with 4years -16years (OR) BE/B.Tech in Mechanical with 4 years to 12 years experience.
• Experience in the field of operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment. Having a keen experience in O&M of Various capacity HSC pumps, Vertical Turbine Pumps, compressors, Blowers, Different type of valves, pipeline networks etc., Having hands-on experience in Preventive maintenance, Breakdown maintenance and predictive maintenance. Provide excellent customer service, efficient system operation and effective communication strategies. Implementation & Monitoring the Computerized maintenance management system.
• Proficiency in operations & maintenance of various machines & equipment, thereby reducing breakdown / downtime & enhancing operational effectiveness of utilities, tender work and business development. Skilled in auditing water & wastewater treatment plant and water/ sewer line commissioning, Operation & maintenance works.
• Capable to manage the customer with good relationship.
• Could able to do NRW work and know water loss analysis and leak deduction .
• Preparation & carry out monsoon activity as precautionary action.
• Implementation of EHS & Quality Documents & procedures
• Implementation of work related SOPs at site
• Managing Subcontracts, vendor contracts, supply agreements, Purchase orders, amendments.
