Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in power system studies including Load Flow, Short Circuit, Transient stability and related analyses.
• Knowledge of international/national standards and gird codes.
• Ability to lead a study team and deliver quality systems studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct system study engineers to perform power system study projects.
• Prepare studies meeting quality and schedule requirements.
• Ensure adherence to QMS procedures and project workflows.
• Mentor staff and coordinate with other disciplines for project execution.
• Develop technical proposals and tender-related documentation.

Position - Lead / Senior Power System Studies

Business Unit: Power Business Unit (PBU)
Work Location: Chennai

Experience: Sr Engineer - 7 to 10 Years, Lead - 11 to 14 Years
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Knowledge and Experience:

Experience in various power system studies (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor starting, Transient stability study, small signal stability study, FACTS studies, HVDC studies, Insulation coordination studies, TRV study, Ferro resonance study, ARC Flash study, VAR compensation studies, Relay setting and coordination study etc.).

Job Summary:

DAR Engineering is seeking an experienced Lead / Senior Power System Studies to lead and develop and direct system study engineers to perform power system study projects efficiently.

Job Description:

• Prepare System Studies meeting quality and schedule requirements.
• Implement/follow System Studies development workflow to meet internal quality, execution and project requirements.
• Implementation of QMS procedures in all stages of design development.
• Utilize relevant PTS, Utility, and International Standards for a particular project.
• Motivate and encourage the study team.
• Ensure clients expectations are realized.
• Archive project documents in line with company recognized Document Management System.
• Engineering estimate and technical proposal for tendering/bidding process.
• Engage in continuous learning and keep updated with relevant standards, codes, and regulations for respective discipline works and project execution.
• Coordinate with other discipline and functional sections for day-to-day operations.

Skills Required:

• Technical paper presentation in power system study conferences.
• Perform Technical trainings.
• Be familiar with gird codes and international / national standards in power system studies.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of Power systems study software (PSSE, ETAP, PSCAD, EMTP-RV, ROWPRO etc.).
• Have excellent technical skills and be able to mentor staff in their own development.
• Excellent communication skills, both in presentation and documentation with a good command over English. Acquaintance to Arabic would be an advantage.
