Job summary

Aster Pharmacy in Bengaluru is seeking a pharmacist to dispense medicines accurately, verify prescriptions, counsel customers, and ensure compliance with pharmacy standards. You will manage inventory, assist with billing, and maintain records while delivering high-quality customer service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include handling prescription verifications, storage conditions, and coordinating with doctors and staff to clarify prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medicines accurately per valid prescriptions and ensure patient safety.
• Verify prescriptions, dosage, drug interactions, allergies, and other details before dispensing.
• Counsel customers on medication usage, dosage, precautions, and storage requirements.
• Ensure compliance with KSPC, Drug Control regulations, and pharmacy standards.
• Maintain records of prescriptions, controlled medicines, and pharmacy transactions.
• Manage inventory, stock receiving, storage, expiry checks, and near-expiry products.
• Monitor stock levels to avoid stock-outs and excess inventory.
• Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines, including temperature-sensitive products.
• Handle customer queries professionally and provide product information.
• Coordinate with doctors, customers, and store teams for prescription clarifications.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the pharmacy.
• Support billing, POS operations, returns, and day-to-day pharmacy activities.
• Identify and report damaged, expired, or recalled medicines per procedures.
• Support audits, inspections, and documentation requirements.
• Follow company SOPs and contribute to smooth daily pharmacy operations.
• Maintain professional conduct and deliver excellent customer service.
