Responsibilities

  • Review prescriptions for accuracy and completeness before dispensing medicines.
  • Dispense prescribed medications in accordance with physician instructions and established pharmacy protocols.
  • Educate patients regarding dosage, administration, storage, precautions, and potential side effects.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, hospital policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor medication stocks and maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams for ordering and replenishment of medicines and consumables.
  • Verify the expiry dates of medicines and ensure proper disposal of expired or damaged stock.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of medicines, including temperature-sensitive products.
  • Participate in periodic audits and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency within the pharmacy.
