Tata Technologies is seeking a skilled cockpit design engineer in Pune to drive CAD modelling and data management for cockpit parts and assemblies. You will evaluate supplier data, ensure BOM quality, and contribute to design standards and carryover strategies aligned with the technology roadmap.
The role requires experience from styling to launch of cockpit components, knowledge of CATIA V5R25, PLM systems, and Six Sigma tools.
Software:- Catia V5R25 With good modelling skills and expert in best modelling practices Knowledge: General Construction, Materials & Technologies required, Regulations, Test Standards & Requirements that have to be met, Interface with other aggregates. Six Sigma Tools (DFMEA, DFM, DFA & DFS), GD&T, EPS and the NPI Process. Cost drivers. Working knowledge of PLM Systems, MINT3, RMDVV and other internal systems Engineering:- Completion of at least one Cockpit design/development project experience from styling to launch of the product is mandatory. Plastic component design considering Regulatory and product requirements, Plastic manufacturing process (injection molding, 2K molding, Thermoforming...etc), Plastic joinery process (Vibration welding, US welding, gluing...), Secondary process (Painting, chrome plating, IMD...etc), Soft touch process (IMG, Thermoforming, Slush molding..etc), Material selection (considering requirements, quality and cost), DV/PV validation.
