Job summary

my clients in Pune seeks a senior fabrication leader with 20-25 years in heavy fabrication to drive cost control, lead a large engineering and expediting team, and coordinate with vendors and project teams.

You will oversee fabrication hubs across India, ensure compliance with major codes, and push productivity using ERP analytics and data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Must have BE Mechanical with extensive heavy fabrication experience.
• Experience leading 30+ engineers and regional expediting teams.
• Knowledge of welding, testing standards and acceptance criteria.
• Familiar with ASME/IBR/BS/IS codes and quality standards.
• Proven ability to coordinate with vendors, consultants and expediter agencies.
• Experience with ERP software and data-driven decision making.
• Strong focus on safety, productivity and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Drive cost control initiatives across fabricated components.
• Develop fabrication hubs pan India with international exposure.
• Ensure delivery of large scale fabrications (columns, girders, beams, etc.).
• Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, QAC, Projects and Finance teams.
• Negotiate and establish rate contracts with fabrication vendors.
• Coordinate with consultants/TPIs and expediting agencies.
• Ensure HSE compliance across vendor sites.
• Enable data-driven decision making in office processes.
• Drive manufacturability improvements with TBWES Engineering and QAC.
• Oversee logistics for safe transport of ODC consignments.

LOCATION Pune EXPERIENCE 20 to 25 Years in Heavy Fabrication EDUCATION BE Mechnical

Responsibilities

• Driving Cost Control initiatives and Manufacturing Cost across many fabricated components.
• Developing Fabrication Hubs pan India geographies including international fabrication hubs.
• Consistently driving deliverance of 60000 MT/annum plus heavy fabricated components like columns, girders, beams, bracings, casings, tankages, Stacks, Heat Exchangers, Dampers & Expansion Joints, Gratings, Ducting etc.
• Ensuring effective collaboration amongst Procurement, Engineering, QAC, Projects, Finance teams for smooth deliverables.
• Negotiate and Establish Rate contracts with various fabrication vendors.
• Establish smooth operation and deliverance while dealing with consultants/TPIs and Expediting Agencies engaged by customers.
• Enforcing safe practices of operation at fabrication vendor’s place.
• Drive manufacturability initiatives involving technical teams at vendor place along with TBWES Engineering and QAC
• Enhance AI enablement and usage of data driven decision making in office processes.

REQUIRED SKILLS & CRITICAL COMPETENCIES

• Leading a team of 30 plus engineers and regional expediting teams.
• Effectively collaborating with teams and fabrication vendors.
• Knowledge of Raw Material, Consumables, Testing equipment and testing / acceptance standards.
• Understanding of welding technology and WPS/PQR/WPQ
• Knowledge of painting system requirements and it’s application methodology.
• Relevant Manufacturing / QAC testing codes and standards knowledge is essential including ASME/IBR/BS/IS codes
• Collaborate effectively with Consultants/TPI agencies/ Customer appointed expediting agencies.
• Ensuring labour force availability and monitoring through fabrication vendors.
• Implementing productivity enhancement techniques at vendor premises.
• Proactively working with Logistic team for safe and smooth transportation of ODC consignments.
• Collaboratively finalize packing schemes across fabricated components.
• Working knowledge through ERPs and other Software.
