Overview
Purpose of Role: The purpose of this role is to lead brand development and corporate partnerships by effectively communicating the organization's vision with stakeholders and ensuring that existing stakeholders include Funding Partners, Employers, Corporate Volunteer Partners and Individual Volunteers.
Description: The role has two major components: engaging with partners to ensure continued support for Bright Future and helping it grow, and developing new strategic partnerships in line with Bright Future’s mission.
Responsibilities
Partnerships (Corporate & Individual Fund Raising)
- Pipeline Development: Work with the team to develop a grant-maker pipeline in the categories of CSR, international Foundations, Domestic Foundations, individual/corporate volunteers, and HNIs.
- Supervise the management of pipeline development and conversion for funding.
- Manage the progress toward goals and goal completion.
- Manage all research data and prepare thorough profiles of donors ahead of meetings.
- Prepare PPTs ahead of donor meetings.
Proposal preparation
- Prepare concept notes, donor proposals and budgets; verify progress and utilization; donor reporting and management.
Partnership cultivation
- Work with the Sustainability team to cultivate donor relationships by attending meetings and calls with corporate partners.
- Manage communications with them as required.
- Coordinate brand and messaging to external stakeholders with the Corporate Partnerships Manager/s, Volunteering Manager, and Communications team.
- Establish and develop partnerships with the Government for funding and non-funding aspects.
Volunteering Management
- Maintain and grow volunteer base through outreach to individuals, community-based organizations and groups, colleges/universities, and corporations as needed.
- Develop and implement a recruitment strategy to achieve goals with a clear plan for recruiting and engaging a diverse base of volunteers.
- Develop, document and coordinate all volunteer-specific training, policies, guidelines, toolkits, and materials required for volunteers.
- Ensure volunteers/interns receive regular feedback from the program supervisor or manager; assist in appropriate conflict resolution and guidance as needed.
- Develop and maintain processes to source people, review applications, check references and interview potential volunteers.
- Assess volunteers’ interests/skills and match them with appropriate activities.
- Manage a comprehensive orientation process for new volunteers, including information, criteria for involvement, and ongoing feedback.
- Update manual and website as necessary.
- Work with department managers to identify volunteer needs and ensure roles are filled with a positive volunteer experience; manage the volunteer database and personnel files.
- Engage with existing volunteers weekly and provide feedback as needed.
- Manage the lifecycle of interns, including hiring, orientation, ongoing feedback, and evaluations.
- Develop performance reviews and reward schemes for volunteers.
- Develop a model to assess the impact of Bright Future volunteering programmes (identity indicators/parameters, baseline figures to compare impact over time).
Marketing & Communications
- Create branding guidelines to standardize internal and external communications and build brand recall.
- Write customized content for communications pieces and collateral to maintain contact with stakeholders (success stories, newsletters, blogs, annual reports, etc.).
- Ensure communications align with the annual Communications Plan.
- Monitor video and photo documentation of work/success stories.
- Create collateral for external representation (exhibits, brochures, one-pagers, posters, presentations, etc.).
- Maintain Bright Future’s digital platforms (website, social media, related sites) and respond to online inquiries to build authenticity.
- Formulate online and offline marketing strategies to maximize reach and brand recall.
- Develop content for awards and accreditations.
- Represent the organization at relevant platforms in the development sector and expand Bright Future’s network.
- Generate inbound leads (donors, volunteers, resource persons, vacancies, etc.) via marketing and track conversions in coordination with other functions.
Placements
- Develop and maintain the current employer pool.
- Explore and provide placement opportunities for Bright Future programs.
- Identify and convert employers to partners in Bright Future's growth.
- Explore all avenues of employer partnerships beyond placements.
