Job summary

Heritage Foods Ltd. is seeking a Head – Purchase to lead our end-to-end Purchasing function across business units and multiple locations in India.

The role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, and achieving annual procurement objectives in a fast-moving food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has extensive procurement experience, leadership capability, and exposure to Greenfield/Brownfield projects, with background in FMCG or related sectors.

Qualifications

• 18–20 years of progressive procurement experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Production) with SCM or MBA.
• Min 5 yrs of leadership experience and must handle team.
• Experience in Food Processing, FMCG, Beverage, or Manufacturing industries.
• Exposure to Greenfield & Brownfield projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end purchasing across business units/multi locations.
• Drive sourcing for Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Engineering Consumables, Maintenance Materials, Utilities, CAPEX, Projects & OPEX and indirect materials.
• Achieve annual procurement objectives, cost leadership and uninterrupted material availability.
• Strengthen supplier partnerships and support business growth through procurement excellence.
• Lead vendor negotiations and implement procurement best practices.

He will lead sourcing activities for Raw Materials ,Packaging Materials, Engineering Consumables, Maintenance Materials, Utilities and Services, CAPEX, Projects & OPEX Requirements and indirect materials including Maintenance Contracts, Facility Management, IT Services and Office Administration Requirements

The ideal candidate will drive cost leadership, ensure uninterrupted material availability, strengthen supplier partnerships, and support business growth through efficient procurement practices.

Requirement
