Job summary

Ignite Search Partners is recruiting for a corporate Subject Matter Expert in New Delhi/NCR to drive EPC technical governance and operational standardisation from mechanical completion to production stabilisation. You will oversee process optimisation, supervise PG testing, and mentor operators and local engineers.

The ideal candidate has a chemical or mechanical engineering background with 10–18 years in process or chemical industries, and hands-on biogas plant experience using CSTR technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10–18 years total experience in process or chemical industry.
• At least 3 continuous years in commercial-scale biogas plants using CSTR technology.
• Experience handling agri-waste/biomass (Press Mud Cake, Paddy Straw, Sugar Cane Trash).
• Experience operating plants per GIIP (Good International Industry Practices).
• Excellent English communication and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing EPC Technical Specifications from a process perspective.
• Review technical offers and recommend EPC contractor selections.
• Standardise SOPs prior to mechanical completion.
• Streamline production processes post-mechanical completion.
• Supervise plant operations from mechanical completion through PG testing.
• Train plant operators and local engineering teams.
• Monitor plant performance and provide process-related solutions for optimization.

Our client is a well-funded, rapidly expanding green fuel platform currently setting up a Compressed Bio-Gas plant in Uttar Pradesh, expanding its technical development team to drive engineering and operational excellence.

This role sits within the Development/O&M team as a corporate Subject Matter Expert and is responsible for EPC technical governance, operational standardisation, and plant performance optimisation from mechanical completion through to production stabilisation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of EPC Technical Specifications from a process perspective


• Review technical offers and recommend selections for EPC contractors


• Standardise operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) prior to mechanical completion


• Streamline the production process post-mechanical completion


• Supervise plant operations from mechanical completion through to Performance Guarantee (PG) testing


• Train plant operators and local engineering teams


• Monitor plant performance and provide process-related solutions for performance correction and enhancement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering


• Mid-level professional with 10 to 18 years of total experience in the process or chemical industry


• At least 3 continuous years of operational or engineering experience in commercial-scale biogas plants utilising CSTR (Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor) technology


• Direct feedstock experience handling agri-waste/biomass, specifically Press Mud Cake, Paddy Straw, and/or Sugar Cane Trash


• Demonstrated experience operating plants in accordance with Good International Industry Practices (GIIP)


• Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills with a strong collaborative, cross-functional team approach
